Fish Thailand's luxury transport will collect you from your hotel to begin the 6 hour drive from Bangkok or 3 hours from Kanchanaburi across Western Thailand almost into Burma.

Fish Thailand Guide ‘Ay’ has lived in an isolated, rarely explored section of Khao Lem Dam for 27 years. He will be waiting for us to board his long-tail boat on the eastern edge of the marshy shore to take us to his home – a base raft way out across Khao Lem Dam where we organise our armoury of fishing tackle, amongst which are our Buzz Baits made by Scary Baits. From here the journey begins as we set off again in the boat, working lures around snags as we meander deep in to the wild, unspoilt nature that fishing Kanchanaburi uncovers.

At the end of each day Ay navigates us back to the shore from where we take a 10 minute drive along the mountain roads bringing us to our accommodation – a bungalow resort.

Each bungalow has air-condtioning, TV, refrigerator, en-suite shower & toilet - close by to a faulous restaurant. Depending on group size Fish Thailand have their own luxury minivan or Toyota Hilux 4-door Vigo - ideal for the rough terrain.

Fish Thailand have a special fishing raft used for bait fishing for Indian Carp or otherwise known as rohu. If you choose to target the Indian carp as one of your fishing options, our guides will pre-bait the swim each day with 50kg of ground bait for 5 days leading upto your fishing safari. Due to Fish Thailand’s unique guided fishing organisation in Thailand, we have guides who live in these remote, isolated pockets of Khao Lem Dam therefore being able to heavily pre-bait the swim.
