REPORT

Dutch angler Wim escorted by his wife Mina and son Tim came with The Fish Thailand Team for some jungle carp fishing in Thailand. Khao Laem Dam located in Kanchanaburi has a good head of Indian carp (rohu) and black carp. Typically Septmeber through to January are good months for jungle carp fishing in Thailand as long as the swims are pre-baited for a week or more daily with bait.

These two days of fishing saw 14 black carp to 12lb landed out of about 20 runs. A couple of those runs were suspected to be Indian Carp (rohu.) Still with plenty of runs and fish to keep the family interested, the rohu managed to evade capture on this excursion.
