Barramundi Fishing Thailand
Barramundi fishing Thailand - located just outside of Bangkok at Boon Mar Ponds was our barramundi fishing venue for today.
Paul & Jesmond are both keen fly anglers in pursuit of some fly fishing barramundi action. At first a very cool & windy start to the fly fishing session - making fly selection and correct techniques critical to fooling the barramundi into striking a fly or lure.
Towards lunch time the wind died, the water had warmed up and barramundi began feeding well with Paul hooking 8 fish and landing 5. Fish Thailand guides also wet a line for a few casts and quickly added 2 more lure caught barramundi to the tally. Jesmond enjoyed practicing his fishing techniques and skillfully landed 2 large barramundi to the day's total of 9 fish.
Fly fishing for barramundi in Thailand at this venue outside of Bangkok today produced average size fish of 13lb and the largest 17lb - true specimen proportions especially on fly fishing tackle making for exhilarating sport. |
